Tony is the practice leader in the areas of Design and Production. As such he has spearheaded the development of the firm’s Integrated Design Methodology. With his skillful balance of design vision and detail orientation, Tony has a hand in the conceptualization and design of all of the firm’s projects.
Tony is also an accomplished furniture and industrial designer and has led the firm’s efforts to explore the humanization of the workplace.
In addition, he also leads the firm’s Quality Management, Cost Estimating and Production Technology processes.
Tony’s diverse past project experience includes design and construction administration of a broad spectrum of projects, including: many creative economy workplaces, network operation centers, dot-coms, as well as commercial interiors (offices, restaurants and cultural facilities) and residential spaces (modular, single-family and multi-family apartments). Other aspects of his practice include a cultural center, educational facilities and recording studios.
Tony is an active member of the American Institute of Architects as well as the National Association of Cuban Architects. He also represents the firm in professional broadcasting organizations, such as the National Association of Broadcasters.
In pursuing his interest in the design and construction of the Creative Economy workplace, Tony frequently presents papers and authors articles on the subject. At the 2009 National Association of Broadcasters he participated in a panel on how to make the broadcast workplace ever more sustainable. At the 1996 NAB Conference he presented a paper entitled “A Broadcaster’s Guide to Managing Facility Design and Construction.” In 1993 he delivered "The Architect's Role in the Design and Construction of Television Broadcast Facilities.” He often contributes to TV y Video and Broadcast Engineering magazines, and has been featured in articles in the New York Times, the Daily News, Real Estate Weekly, Today's Facility Manager Magazine and Broadcasting and Cable magazine.
